Upon A Cross

Upon a cross my Savior did hang,
He bore my sickness, guilt and shame.

When He cried out "Father forgive them,
for they know not what they do"
He wasn't just talking about the Roman soldiers,
He was talking about me and you.

Upon a cross my Savior did die
to redeem me back to my Father on High.

When He rose again on that third day
conquering hell, death and the grave,
He gave us all a promise by faith we can believe.
By His side we'll always stay.

You ask, who is this one I hold so dear?
His name is Jesus and he is always near.

Call upon Him and you will see
His plan of salvation for you and me.

Give Him praise and glory,
thank Him forevermore.
He paid your price, He took your death,
all your sins He bore, so He could spend
eternity with you forevermore.

His love is unconditional, His mercies
never cease. His grace is sufficent,
All you need do is Seek His face.
