To Touch The Heart of Man

How could so great a God as He
Have fellowship with us?
How could He teach us better ways
In which to love and trust?

Only Jesus bridged the gulf,
To show us how God loves,
And He, alone, could pay the dues
That purchased Heaven, above.

I know, I know, that Jesus lives.
He fills my heart, today.
I know all power and majesty
Are His to use or stay.

But, most of all, I’m thankful that,
Though worlds obey His plan,
His hand is delicate enough
To touch the heart of man!
