Today
I sat down today and had a long talk with me.
I said, Now self, it's time to set me free.
I've been living in the past far to long
waiting for my loved one
to come back home.
I've been asking myself
where did I go wrong?
Why does it hurt so much and
how do I go on?
If I've got to deal with this
why not start today?
I know it won't be easy
but there's got to be a way.
I've made up my mind to put the past to rest.
It can't be undone and I can't go on like this.
I know I won't forget but
I'll try and make a new life.
If it was meant to be
God will bring my loved one back.
