I was trapped in a shell
nothing could break the code.
I was smothered in my flesh
and unable to face the load.
A heavy stone was placed
on top of me and I screamed
let me out, please, oh, please.

I felt the earth rumble and
shake and I wished it was me
shaking this old shell off
to be free. I saw a light
wink in the night and thought,
what a beautiful sight.

I saw a change in the darkness
of the hour. The light kept
shining like a mighty power.
I felt Your presence and love
enter my soul and that old shell
left me and made me whole.
The stone's been lifted, I am free
and You walk daily with me.
