Tears In A Bottle

Put my tears in a bottle
and wipe them all away
For You record them in Your book
each and every day ~
With love that You pour out on me
help me to forget
The pain that I remember,
my heartaches and regrets.

The sadness of the suffering
and sorrow that I bear
Leaves me with the feeling
that no one really cares ~
But in all truth and honesty
they do not understand
What I endure within myself;
for whosoever can?

I can only rest in solitude
in the comfort of Your grace
Safe within Your arms of love
and shelter of Your embrace ~
I cannot rely on mankind
to always be there for me
For man cannot bear the heavy loads
or meet my every need.

As I give to You my troubles
within my heart I weep
For the heartaches that I carry
and anxieties so deep ~
For sorrows come and sorrows go
but one thing stays the same
The power of Your precious blood
and majesty of Your name.

You bottle all my teardrops
and reach out to me Your hand
You show me Your loving kindness,
You always understand ~
Cleansed within Your lasting grace
Your love for me remains
That I may live abundantly
forever whole again.
