You tell me I never told you.
How proud I was of you.
Maybe I didn't say it loud enough.
Seeming to be only a whisper to you.
Everyone heard it, everyone saw it
But you.

Can you ever forgive me?
For letting you think
You weren't important to me.

I can't go back and change things
That would have mattered to you.
I can only let you know right now
How much you have always meant to me.

You were always so self-sufficient,
Handling things on your own.
My mind would turn to other things
Defending right from wrong.

Maybe you overwhelmed me,
Being to good to be true
That I just never had to worry about you.

Let me tell you now, before it's too late
And I never get the chance to.

You were a wonderful child.
Grown into a wonderful woman.
And I am so proud of you.

I loved you from the first moment
I saw you, and so proud of you to.

I thank God everyday, He blessed me
With such a wonderful child as you.

Always remember and never forget
I will always love you,
Until my heart beats no more.
And beyond then to eternity.
