Reflections
A caring word, a loving heart
A glimpse of Heaven that will never part.
A newly found feeling of acceptance so free,
You have shared all of this and more with me.
I hope to find love as I search for pain,
Though in it all I find no gain.
Again I look back and want to cry,
I look up to Heaven and ask God why.
I don't hear Him answer, does He really care,
Why is it so hard to know if He's there.
These questions and more come at me so fast,
Yet your always there to help me sort through the past.
I hold back from you still, but I'm trusting you more,
Your love and approval I cannot ignore.
I trust your opinion and seek your advice,
In you I see reflections of Jesus Christ.
All that you've done for me I could never repay,
The way I feel about you I wish I could say.
I treasure your friendship, you help me have strength,
I desire your love and to know what you think.
I strive to be like you, to follow your lead,
Often I fail, but you are still there for me.
I appreciate your kindness, the way that you care,
And even when I run, still you are there.
You have helped me so much, enabled me to cope,
In all my despair, you have given me hope.
