"Risen"

"The stone was rolled away," they say,
but not to set Him free...
That giant stone was naught to Him
(He walked through walls, you see.)

It was for the women
that the stone was moved that day,
And for you and me, and for all men
who look to Him in faith.

What to the world was failure,
was, in truth, great victory!
He has the keys of hell and death,
and He has set us free!

He has done the hardest part;
He suffered and He died
And moved the stone to let us in,
the gates He opened wide

To His Father's kingdom,
of which we are the heirs
Where sin and sorrow have no place,
where we will have no cares.

Eternal life, and love, and peace
are only through His grace;
Because He lives, we, too, shall live
we shall behold His face.

The Lord is risen, He is risen!
He is risen indeed!
