Remember Me
Will I be remembered when I have gone to my rest?
Was I a good friend...have I passed the test?
Was I a good wife and mother, what will you say,
Did I fulfill the roles I was destined to play?
Was I there to give comfort to all in need?
Was I sensitive to others in word and deed?
When adversity struck, did I answer your call,
And steadfastly stand by you through it all?
Will my children remember I loved them so?
(I didn't choose to leave them, but I had to go)
Will they remember the rules laid down with love,
And know I'm watching them from above?
Yes, my friends, I will miss you too
Our years together were all too few
When you feel a soft breeze gently ruffling your hair,
Know it is I and that I still care!
