Although I live alone
I'm rarely ever bored
For tho I'm on my own
My best friend is the Lord

When I take my daily walk
He is always by my side
As he listens to me talk
On subjects far and wide

I asked him why he loves me
Knowing I have sinned
He said he loves where I am now
It's not important where I've been

He knows when I'm content
And there when I'm depressed
He just listens to me vent
I always feel so blessed

Whenever I am sad
Missing friends now far away
I'm thankful and so glad
I have the Lord with me today
