My Best Friend
I remember walking in, to be greeted by you,
my friend. In your chair you would sit,
that red brick house will never be the same I bet.
The days together were so warm and special.
We would sit and talk for hours or play a card game.
It didn't matter to me,
I was happy being with you just the same.
"My Angel," I would say, My Angel now I pray.
God sent you to show us his love,
the love unconditional.
Your smile, Memal so warm and gentle,
Memal, you were never judgemental.
I never wanted to let you go,
Memal oh how I loved you so.
You were but an Angle to me, someone I long to see.
To heaven you were sent, what a precious gift there will be.
One day you I will see-Oh what a happy day that will be.
Memal, for now I will pray,
I know you are watching over my boys and I everyday.
Thank you for being all you could be-
Your sweet face I will wait to see.
