I’m sending you to earth my child, to be a lamp for me.
So, let your light shine brightly, for all the world to see.
May many lost sheep find their way and come to know their God
Because of your convictions and the paths your feet have trod.

I’m sending you to earth my child, and while you’re there, trust me.
When you are weak and weary, my love and strength you’ll see.
While you are on life’s journey, through trials and hardship, learn.
May love and faith be strengthened, and like a candle, burn.

I’m sending you to earth my child, where there is grief and pain,
But fear not, I will be with you, to comfort and sustain.
I’m sending you to earth my child- my messenger you’ll be,
We’ll talk and grow much closer as you pray and walk with me.

Though you may live with grief and pain, you’ll grow and come to see,
That through life’s joys and sorrows, if you seek, you will find me.
May you, while on the earth my child, rejoice and praise my name,
And realize the lives you’ve touched will never be the same.
