I Can Still Hear The Laughter
I can still hear the laughter
I can still see the smiles
I can still climb the highest mountain,
While remembering days gone by
I can still sail across the ocean
In a boat so small
And climb the mightiest tree of all
I can still ride a bike
I can still fly like the wind,
While remembering the scraped knees
That my mother would mend
I can still dance in puddles left by the rain
Play jacks and baseball,
Play with trucks and trains
I can still dance, play baseball, and smile
I’m just a little slower now, it takes me awhile
I can still ride a bike and fly like the wind
If only it didn’t hurt for my knees to bend
I can still sail the ocean in a boat so small
I can still climb the tallest tree of all
Yes, I can still hear the laughter
I can still see the smiles
Only it’s different now, it takes me awhile.
