Hope

It gets so overwhelming
Living in this world
The horror and destruction
I've never understood

But when it gets to be too much
I feel a hand on mine
A soft and gentle voice reminds me
That all will work out fine

"But why?" I ask like a child
As I succumb to tears
Things aren't always as they seem
Release to Me your fears

As He slowly lifts my chin
To look into my eyes
I see in Him the love and hope
That this world can't provide

Amazing is His grace
His love is real and alive
The countenance upon His face
Renewed my faith and life.
