He Said He Loved Me

I was feeling sorry and staying at home,
I had just lost my mom...I was feeling alone.
I prayed for a sign that she was okay,
but I have to be patient...I'll have it one day.

I missed her at Christmas...the family apart.
I have such an emptiness deep in my heart.
I talk much to God, He's around and above me
and somehow I think He said that He loved me.

He gets me through it, one day at a time.
He gathers my tears and turns them to wine
to celebrate new life, eternally too
A new birth in heaven, I'll be with you.

He said He loved me and I won't forget Him.
He'll give me comfort and joy if I only let Him.
That I must trust Him though I don't understand,
We are His children and this is His land.
