Guide Me Through The Storm

Lord help me to know
what you would have me do.
I need you here to guide me,
I get so confused.

I've tried to make things right,
but I'm not nearly smart enough.
I tried it on my own,
and I always mess up.

Some folks say I'm stubborn
and I must admit they're right.
I would not have strayed so far
if it wasn't for my foolish pride.
I had to learn the hard way
that I can't make it on my own.
I need you here beside me
to guide me through this storm.

If I can follow in your footsteps
you'll lead me safely home.
and I won't need to be afraid,
because I'll never be alone.
