Forever Young

Yes, I walk bones bent and weak
My hearing's gone, I barely speak
My movements slow, my eyes are dim
My heart still beats aloud within.
Cripppled and weakened from the world
Tormented yet, but not unfurled
Wrinkled with the trials of life
Embedded lessons from all the strife.

My life but a day unto the Lord
My mind reminisces times adored
And with all my wisdom, I came to know
That only love exists, only love will grow.
But look at what you cannot see
My spirit young, soon too be free
Not afraid of what is yet to come
When I hear His words, "Your work is done."

Then the angels will come and carry me home
To the arms fo Jesus I've always known
I'll take with me all I did learn
And my body to the dust it will return
Because, the power of death is forever gone
My spirit will rise and carry on
With my Father in Heaven I'll be free
In His love for all eternity.
