Does your Spirit fill our churches
Does your Spirit fill our hearts
Or are those places empty
Are they only works of art

Are our churches filled with singing
Do their people follow man
Are they busy with their programs
Or do they worship the great I AM

The love for Jesus is so simple
He just wants our worship and our hearts
Things have grown so complicated
Changes added since the start

We need to go back to our first love
A love so humble and so pure
The love of Jesus is so simple
His love is love that does endure

Return to following our Jesus
Let him fill our hearts
Let his glory fill our churches
Every corner every part

Let his light shine in the darkness
Let his glory break the chains
Make a way for he is coming
Coming to this world again
