The Empty Tomb

Your tomb is empty Lord
and I'm so glad you're not there.
Our Father loved us so much
he sent you to this sinful world.
How hard it must have been
for God to give his only son.

Jesus is your name,
the sweetest name I've ever heard
and every day I thank you for your eternal love.
Our Father called you home
and you're at his right side
making intercession for us
all through the day and night.

You were crucified and
we're covered by your blood.
you didn't have to do it,
you did it out of love.
You had never sinned
but you paid the price for us.

You've said that you'll forgive us
if we'll just repent
and accept you as our savior.
You're much more than a friend.

You suffered on that cross,
you bore every pain there was.
This world has never known so great a love.
You did it all for us
so that we might be set free.
We can live with you forever if we only believe.
