Father, please hear my prayer...
I know that you are here
I feel so small down here on earth,
With you so high up there...

I need so desperately
To know that I am safe
As each new day begins it's course,
I feel so very afraid.

Sometimes I want to cry
Pains rise from the depths of my heart
Please let me know you'll hold me close,
That we shall never part.

And then there is this loneliness
It grips me when I'm weak
Remind me that you love me so,
And that you'll never leave.

And most importantly, Dear Lord
Let me never forget this blessing
No matter how my day should end,
You are taking good care of me.
