Blessings In Disguise
Look in the mirror, have a LOOK at that face,
And sanctify Jesus for ALL that you "face".
If you have EYES, or if you have EARS,
Both are more precious than all selfish, vain tears.
Some people cannot SEE all of God's perfect work,
And there are those who cannot HEAR his sacred, sweet word.
So look in the mirror, what is it you see?
Have you two legs for 'to walk about free'?
There are those who do not, and must roll in a chair,
And I've seen people stop and I've seen people stare
At those who aren't blessed with TWO arms of a pair.
Now I look in that mirror, and I look at my face,
And I thank the LORD JESUS for ALL of his 'Grace',
Because I have precious eyes, "Lord, you BLESSED me with two",
To 'see' ALL of creation and the works that you do,
And two ears you did give me, my Father I know,
To hear your word spoken, so my spirit would grow.
And you gave me two legs Lord,
Though right now they're not strong,
But Faith in Sweet Jesus will shuffle me on,
And the 'best' of your blessings are the two arms you gave,
For 'to hold close my loved ones', and towards Heaven to praise!
Now I look in the mirror, and I look at my face,
And how I praise JESUS for the trial's that I "face",
Whether it be "need of shelter", but most often "lack of food",
I trust in my saviour, that he will carry me through!
There are SOME 'faces' in the mirror who see their problems 'too great',
But they don't know the Saviour, or his saving grace,
So let's throw down those mirrors, and for once in our lives,
Reach a hand out to other's, and lay vain thoughts aside.
We are all much the same in the Lord's eyes,
He sees our TRUE REFLECTION without the 'acting side',
No matter how much "make-up", no matter how hard you try,
God KNOWS the SOUL within you, that can NEVER be disguised!
