A World Around You

I built my world around you,
started a new life with you.
I laughed a million laughs with you,
walked a million miles beside you.
Brought a new life
into this world with you.

We built a new home together,
made for just you and me
and the family.
I stood beside you when things
got rough. We grew to be tough,
a million times stronger, standing
together through all kinds of weather.

You made me your wife,
I made you my life.
Birds were singing,
the flowers were blooming.

Now that your gone
I'm fighting to carry on.
There is no more laughter,
Not many smiles.
No stars are shinning
No flowers are blooming.

They have all been replaced
with prayers of hope.
